About me

Hello, my name is Medina Santos MBACP

I am a qualified person-centred counsellor, dedicated to providing compassionate and supportive care. As a mum of two, I understand the demands of balancing family life and personal well-being, which shapes my empathetic and non-judgemental approach to counselling.

I currently work as a counsellor in several high schools, supporting young people and their families through various emotional and mental health challenges. My experience extends to working with young people who have Special Educational Needs (SEN), where I have developed skills in offering tailored, sensitive support. I have recently completed an Introduction to ADHD awareness course.

During my training, I completed a placement with a domestic abuse charity, which deepened my understanding of trauma and the complexities surrounding abuse. This experience allows me to work with clients facing difficult personal situations, helping them feel heard and supported.

I offer both face-to-face and remote sessions (online or by telephone), ensuring accessibility for clients regardless of their circumstances. In our sessions, you can expect a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space where your feelings and experiences are fully respected. My goal is to help you to explore your thoughts and emotions at your own pace, fostering personal growth and healing.

Availability here is on Tuesday & Wednesdays 4pm onwards. There is free parking outside and this also has a private entrance to maintain confidentiality.

Availability here is on Monday & Fridays 4pm onwards. There is a free car park. This is a beautiful site and the room has access to an outside courtyard.

Services

In the first 15 minutes of our session, we will discuss why you want to access counselling and also the contract between us both. Confidentiality is paramount in our relationship and clients will feel the safety to explore their emotions freely and without fear of judgement.

I am fully insured and a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

I currently have limited availability for face to face sessions in West Derby or Bootle, Liverpool.
